Socomec was established in 1973 by parmesan properties developer Maestri Ricciotti, who decided to start producing hydraulic breakers to fit on his excavator fleet because of his own requirements due to his construction company.
After more than 30 years of demanding changes, characterised by a constant technological and manufacturing development, supported by advanced technical advances, he aimed to improve performance and reliability of his hydraulic breakers. Today, Socomec is the Italian leader in sales of hammers per annum. Socomec is also fulfilling significant achievements abroad.

On the base of the achieved results, Socomec is making important investments in order to improve once more the quality of its services, and to reach the Vision 2000 (ISO 9001/2000) certification.
